What is a suspicious login attempt?
Why did I receive this email?
At N26, security is our top priority. When our system detects an unusual login attempt, we alert you immediately so that steps can be taken to secure your account. If you’ve received an alert and you believe someone else may have attempted to log into your account, a quick reset of your password is all that’s needed. If you recognise the login attempt shown in the alert, you can simply ignore it.
How do I reset my password?
You can reset your password by logging into your account via your app or web browser, navigating to My Account → Settings → Security.
If you cannot access your account, click Forgot Password on the login screen. From there, all you have to do is enter your email address and request a password reset link.
When choosing a new password, we remind you not to reuse passwords across multiple platforms; please ensure you utilise a unique password for each of your accounts. Password reuse is a primary reason behind an account compromise.
When should I contact Customer Support?
After receiving an email about an unusual login, you may be concerned about the security of your account. We would like to reassure you, however, that changing your password is a sufficient measure which will ensure your account remains protected. If you’d like to discuss this topic with someone in the know, our Customer Support team is there for you.
