What is the N26 Freelancer Account?
28.01.2025: The Freelancer Account is currently only available in Germany.
The N26 Freelancer Account is designed to meet the needs of our existing customers who require a separate business account in addition to their personal account. This account offers nearly all the features* of the N26 Business account at no additional cost, including a dedicated card, IBAN, and cashback on eligible card payments. Your existing Premium membership will cover both your Personal and Freelancer accounts.
*Spaces will be available at a later date.

- Navigate to the Home or the Finances tab of your N26 app.
- Select Set up to review the Freelancer Account features.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for an N26 Freelancer Account:
- You must have an active N26 Personal account (Standard or Premium). Please note that Business account holders are not eligible to open a Freelancer account.
- The ID document used for opening your personal account must still be valid.
- In countries where N26 also provides local IBANs, you can only sign up if your account has a local IBAN. E.g., if you opened your personal account in France, you can only signup if its IBAN starts with FR.

If you currently have a Premium personal account (Smart, You, or Metal), your Freelancer Account will also enjoy the same Premium benefits at no extra charge. For example, Metal membership holders receive 0.5% cashback on eligible payments made with the card linked to their Freelancer Account.
