Which bank documents are available?

You can download your bank statements, account confirmations, and other bank documents automatically in a digital format. These are official documents and are valid without a physical signature. Here’s a breakdown of what documents are available and how to find them:

Bank statements

Your bank statement shows your total balance and every transaction going in or out of your N26 account. It also includes your full name, IBAN, and BIC. If a merchant ever asks you for proof of payment, this is the document to use. Here’s how to download your bank statement.

Account confirmation

Think of this as an account ownership certificate. It proves the account is registered in your name and includes your date of birth, IBAN, BIC, and the date you opened the account. You can also choose to include your current balance or your (partially hidden) card number. Here’s how to request your account confirmation.

Statement of fees

This document is a simple report of all the bank fees you’ve been charged over the past year. Here’s how to download your statement of fees.

Transfer confirmation

This is a summary of a specific transfer made to or from your account. It includes the names and bank details of both the sender and the recipient, the amount, and the reference text. It’s also available for direct debit payments. Here’s how to download a transfer confirmation.

Card payment confirmation

You can download a PDF confirmation for any card transaction directly from the N26 app or on web:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Select the specific card payment from your transaction list
  3. Select ‘Download payment confirmation’

This file will show the amount, the date, and the details of the merchant.

RIB (France only)

The RIB (relevé d’identité bancaire) is a document specifically for French authorities. It contains your main bank info, like your full name, legal address, IBAN, and BIC. Here’s how to get it:

  1. Log in to your account on web and select ‘Main account’
  2. Select ‘Downloads’ above the transaction search bar
  3. Under ‘RIB - Relevé d’Identité Bancaire’, select ‘Request’

We’ll send the document to ‘Messages from N26’, which you can find in the Support tab on web. You can also find it in the mobile app by selecting the bell icon next to your initials.

If your account is closed, or if you’re a legal representative looking for documents like balance statements or transfer confirmations, you can still get what you need. Please submit your request using our form for former customers.
