Why didn’t I get an N26 Credit offer?
If you followed all the application steps but didn’t receive an N26 Credit offer, it means the information currently available didn’t meet our eligibility criteria or support a positive assessment of your creditworthiness.
This could be because:
- Your account is new or has limited history.
- We have insufficient income information.
- Your credit information obtained from credit reference agencies shows existing payment issues.
You can try again later—changes in your financial situation or account activity may lead to a different outcome.
Why do the offer terms differ from what I expected?
If you received an offer but the amount, duration, or interest rate are different from what you expected, it means that, based on the information currently available—including your estimated repayment capacity—we can only offer the loan terms shown in your N26 app.
How is my eligibility and offer determined?
Your eligibility and loan terms are determined automatically based on an assessment of your financial situation and creditworthiness. This assessment combines statistical analysis and factual checks, including:
- Your N26 account activity (incoming/outgoing payments, repayment history)
- Your income and expenses (to estimate repayment capacity)
- Your external credit information from credit reference agencies (credit rating, payment defaults)
- Other eligibility criteria (how long your account has been open, any legal restrictions)
These checks help us make responsible lending decisions in line with our internal credit policies and risk appetite, ensuring that credit is provided fairly and sustainably.
