Upfront Payments for Premium membership plans
Your membership contract is valid for one year, after which it automatically renews for an indefinite period until you cancel it—this can be done at any time (see below).
Which billing options are available to me?
You can choose to pay for your annual membership fee on a monthly basis, or pre-pay multiple months (e.g. 6 or 12 months) to receive a discount. This doesn’t affect the length of your annual contract.
For example, if you choose to prepay 6 months at a time, you’ll make one payment for the first 6 months of your yearly contract when your membership begins, and a second payment in 6 month’s time for the second half of your yearly contract.
How and when can I pay?
To activate your Premium membership, you need to pay your first membership fee when you sign up. This means your first monthly fee, or your first prepayment if you chose a 6- or 12-month billing option. Your membership and Premium benefits will only become active once we've received this payment.
You can choose to pay immediately using an instant payment method, including a debit or credit card, Apple Pay/Google Pay, supported local methods (like iDEAL or EPS) or instant bank transfers which will give you access to your premium features right after you’ve verified your identity.
Until your payment is received, your Premium membership won't be active yet. If you change your mind before you complete your payment, you can pick a different plan, including our free Standard account, by tapping the pencil icon next to your selected plan.
After your first payment, we'll automatically take your membership fee from your N26 account based on the billing option you chose.
