Why isn’t my photo verification working?

Applies to all regions except Germany

First, geolocation must be enabled and set to Always activated. Then review the guide we’ve created to help you take the best pictures.

Most photo verifications fail due to bad picture quality.

  • Complete the process in a bright environment and use a phone with a good camera.
  • If you're using an Android device, ensure a proper auto focus.
  • Take your selfie with your face and eyes clearly visible. Do not wear a hat or glasses.
  • Make sure you’re the only person in the photo.
  • Please look directly into the camera while taking your selfie and hold the camera at eye level. Make sure the photo is clear and your whole face is visible.

Check your document.

  • Please make sure you hold one of the supported documents prior to beginning your identification.
  • We only accept national IDs, passports and residence permits (photocopies, scans or screenshots are not permitted).
  • Keep your document on a flat surface and make sure your document is fully visible and the information on it is readable.
  • Please make sure that your document is valid and not expired.
  • Please make sure your document is fully visible in the frame.
