How to connect or disconnect my smartphone to my account?
In order to use your N26 account, you will need a smartphone and you can only have one device paired per account. The device requirements are listed below:
- iPhone’s must be at least ‘5s’ or newer with iOS 11 minimum
- Android phones must be at least 6.0 or newer (we do not support the customised versions of Amazon Fire and Oxygen OS.
You'll need to pair and/or unpair your smartphone when you first create an account or if you get a new phone number or device. If you only change your SIM card but you keep your smartphone, you don't not need to unpair then pair your device.
To pair your smartphone with your account:
Open the app on your smartphone.
Confirm your mobile phone number.
Enter the 4-digit code you receive via SMS and pair your phone.
If you want to pair a new device, you must unpair your old device for security reasons. You can do this by following these steps:
Login to your N26 mobile app or the Web app (new tab)
Go 👤 My Account (mobile app) or under 👤 My Account (web app)
Then go into ‘Security Settings’
You can then unpair your device
If you don’t have access to your smartphone anymore, you can get in touch with us via live chat for assistance. If you log into your N26 account with a new device, you'll receive two codes – a Login SMS code with 6 digits and Pairing SMS code with 4 digits. You'll need the Login code to access your account and the Pairing code for pairing your device.
