Travel eSIM data plan cancellation and billing
How to cancel a travel eSIM data plan
The rules for cancelling our travel eSIM are different from cancelling an N26 SIM mobile plan.
You can't cancel an active or pending travel eSIM data plan. If you don't want to use a data plan you’ve bought, you don't need to do anything — it expires on its own.
14-day withdrawal right: You can withdraw from your travel eSIM data plan within 14 days of purchase if all three conditions are met:
- You've used 500 MB or less of the plan's data.
- The data plan is valid for 14 days or more and hasn't expired yet.
- Your request is within the 14-day purchase window.
To request a withdrawal and refund, ask for a specialist in the support chat (new tab). You must do this within the 14-day period. If your request is approved, your plan is cancelled immediately and you receive a refund.
How travel eSIM billing works
The travel eSIM is a prepaid service. You're charged when you buy a data plan. Your N26 account must have enough funds to cover the cost of the data plan.
No invoices are sent by default. To request an invoice, ask for a specialist in the support chat (new tab).
What happens to your travel eSIM if you close your N26 account
You need an active N26 bank account to use your travel eSIM and any data plans you purchased. If you close your account, you cannot keep the plan.
