How to use Moneybeam?

MoneyBeam enables you to send money to your contacts instantly, without having to enter their bank details. You can also request a MoneyBeam from your contacts, in order to receive money. To use MoneyBeam, you and your contacts have to be visible as N26 users.

Sending a MoneyBeam: 

  1. Select Send Money,
  2. In the contact list, select a recipient with an N26 icon on their profile
  3. Enter the amount and select Continue
  4. Enter an optional reference text or GIF* and select Continue
  5. Enter your confirmation PIN
  6. Confirm the transfer on the review screen

In case you are sending a MoneyBeam via Web app, you’ll then need to either Confirm or Cancel the MoneyBeam via push notification in the app from your paired device. Once the MoneyBeam was confirmed in the mobile app, we can't reverse it or change the recipient's details.

How to add a new recipient?

  1. From the Home screen choose the Send money tab
  2. On the contact list screen, simply select the + icon at the top right corner
  3. Select MoneyBeam 
  4. Enter the recipient's name and phone number or email address
    1. Alternatively, you can scan a QR code to input the recipient’s details
  5. Enter the amount and select Continue,
  6. Next, proceed by entering the optional reference text or GIF
  7. Enter your confirmation PIN
  8. Confirm the MoneyBeam on the review screen.

Requesting a MoneyBeam:

  1. Select Add Money
  2. Tap Request from friends
  3. Select a contact from your list or add one by entering their phone number and email address
  4. Enter an amount and a reference
  5. As soon as your contact confirms your request, you will receive the amount you asked for

What are the limits for MoneyBeams?

  • Limit per MoneyBeam is €1000 
  • Limit per 24 hours is €5000
