How can I use Tikkie with N26?

Tikkie is a Dutch peer-to-peer payment service used to send and receive payment requests via WhatsApp, SMS, or QR codes. At N26, you can pay Tikkie requests directly from your account using our iDEAL | Wero integration.

This service is only available in the N26 mobile app. You cannot pay Tikkie requests using the N26 Web app.

Paying a Tikkie request

You do not need to install the Tikkie app to pay a request. To complete a payment:

  • Select the Tikkie link you received.
  • On the Tikkie payment page, choose N26 from the list of banks.
  • You will be automatically redirected to your N26 app.
  • Review the payment details and select Confirm.
  • The funds are transferred instantly via SEPA Credit Transfer.

Eligibility and limitations

  • Incoming requests only: You can currently only pay Tikkie requests. Creating or sending Tikkie payment requests from an N26 account is not supported.
  • Eligibility: To use this service, you must have an N26 account with a DE IBAN. This feature is not available for accounts with terms and conditions from Spain, France, or Italy.

Transaction limits and fees

Failed Tikkie payment

If your payment is unsuccessful, please check the following:

  • Ensure your main account or the selected Space has sufficient funds.
  • Check your internet connection.
  • Try selecting the Tikkie link again from the original message.

Duplicate Tikkie charges

If a payment was deducted twice, please contact the person or business who sent the Tikkie request directly. Provide them with the 16-digit transaction number found in your N26 transaction details to initiate a refund.

Stay safe when using Tikkie

Only pay Tikkie requests from people you know or have met in person. For online marketplaces, we recommend using the platform's official protected payment methods rather than external payment links.
