Ever wanted to try out our N26 Smart account, but not sure if it’s for you? Well now you can enjoy 2 whole months for free - And ‘try before you buy’ - to see if our Smart account works for you, with no commitment!

If you want to take part in our N26 Smart free trial, you will have access to our premium banking features included with our Smart account. And see the value by getting more out of your everyday banking.

• 60 day free trial: Eligible N26 customers can take advantage of our 60 day Smart free trial.
• Cancel at any point: At any point during your free trial, you’ll be able to cancel and still enjoy the benefits for the full 60 days (you will be automatically downgraded back to Standard after 60 days)
• Continue with Smart: If you decide our N26 Smart account is for you, then you can take no action to continue with our Smart account and pay the monthly fee of 4,90€. If you change your mind after the free trial is over, you can always downgrade back to Standard.
• Enjoy the benefits of our Smart account: You can use the following benefits during your 60 day Smart free trial:
  • Spaces (up to 10)
  • Up to 10 Shared Spaces
  • IBAN for Spaces (DE customers only)

Please note that the physical card will be issued at the end of the trial if you decide to keep the SMART membership.

If you have been invited to a Free Trial of our Smart membership, you will be able to access it by following the instructions below.

From the push notification:

• Tap on the push notification
• When the N26 app opens, your invitation explaining the free trial offer will open automatically. Click on “continue” to proceed
• You will see a summary of the offer, please read and accept the Terms and Conditions, then
• Click “Confirm Purchase” : you are officially part of the trial now, and will see a success message!

From the N26 app:

• Open the N26 app
• You will see the Smart Free Trial offer entrypoint at the top of your home screen. Tap on “Learn More”
• This will open the invitation screen explaining the free trial offer in detail. Click on “continue” to proceed
• You will see a summary of the offer, read and accept the Terms and Conditions, then Click “Confirm Purchase” : you are officially part of the trial now!

Note: If you received an email inviting you to start the trial, we recommend opening it from your phone and clicking the “Start free trial” button. This will automatically open the N26 app and load the invitation page. Otherwise, login to your N26 mobile app and follow the app flow above.

If you subscribe for a N26 Smart free trial, you can request a N26 Smart Mastercard:

• During the trial, your previous virtual card will become an additional card
• If after the free trial, you decide to downgrade to N26 Standard, your additional virtual card becomes your bundled card, and your physical card will be additional, for a cost of 10€.

If you don't request a N26 Smart Mastercard and decide to prolong your membership, you'll be offered the possibility to have a additional physical Mastercard for free.
