Voice Flat / SMS flat and mobile Data (GB) are included for the following countries:

Wi-Fi Calling and messaging

App-based calls (e.g. WhatsApp, FaceTime)

Calls made through apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime, or Signal use the internet instead of your mobile connection. Because these apps don’t use our mobile or VoWiFi service, we don’t charge you for these calls.

You can make app-based calls over Wi-Fi or mobile data:

  • If you're connected to Wi-Fi, there's no charge.
  • If you're using mobile data, your data usage will apply.

VoWiFi (Voice over Wi-Fi)

Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWiFi) lets you make regular mobile calls or send SMS over a Wi-Fi network when your mobile signal is weak or unavailable. These calls go through our mobile service and are charged like regular mobile usage.

If you're in the EU/EEA (outside Germany), or calling from Germany to another EU/EEA country:

  • Calls: 0.22€ per minute
  • SMS: 0.07€ per message
