How to cancel your plan
There are two ways to cancel your plan, each with a different cancellation time.
Within 14 days of purchase
You have the right to withdraw from your plan within 14 days of your purchase date. This cancellation is immediate.
- To request a withdrawal, you must contact N26 Customer Support within this 14-day period.
- Your plan will be canceled immediately.
- You will be billed (pro rata) only for the days you used the service.
After 14 days
You can cancel your plan at any time after the 14-day withdrawal period. This cancellation has a 30-day notice period.
- Go to User Settings > Mobile > N26 SIM.
- Within the N26 mobile plan tap the settings icon on the top right corner. 3. Tap Cancel Plan.
Your plan details screen will update to show the cancellation is pending. Here's what happens next:
- To stop a cancellation: If you change your mind, you can stop the cancellation at any time before the plan's end date. The option “Keep my plan" will appear on your main N26 SIM mobile plan screen.
- Plan usage: You can continue to use your plan until the final end date.
- Your number: Your phone number will be reserved for 90 days after your plan ends. This allows you to purchase a new plan and keep your number.
- Billing: The first and last months of your service are charged pro rata. You will receive your final invoice on the 1st of the month after your plan ends, with the final fee charged on the 5th.
Change plans
It is not possible to change your plan directly. To upgrade or downgrade, you must first cancel your current plan.
The plan will end after the 30-day cancellation period. After it has ended, you can purchase a new plan. Your phone number will be reserved for 90 days after cancellation, so you can use it with your new plan.
Billing
Invoices are sent to your Secure Inbox on the 1st of each month. Fees are charged to your N26 account around the 5th of each month for the previous month.
You can find your invoices in the app:
- Go to your N26 SIM mobile plan screen.
- Tap on Settings in the top right corner.
- Find and select the "Invoice" section.
Your monthly invoice is a summary. If you need a detailed, line-by-line "itemized usage report," you can request one by contacting N26 Customer Support.
Proof of ownership
The only proof of ownership we can provide for your N26 SIM plan is your monthly invoice.
Closing my N26 account
Your N26 SIM plan is linked to your N26 bank account. You cannot keep the SIM plan if you close your N26 bank account.
You must cancel your N26 SIM plan before you can close your N26 bank account.
The N26 SIM plan will remain active for the 30-day cancellation period. After this period ends, you will be billed for this final cycle on your normal billing date (you will receive your final invoice on the 1st of the following month, with the fee charged around the 5th).
Once your final N26 SIM plan payment has been processed and the plan is officially ended, you can proceed with closing your N26 bank account.
