How to use Google Pay?

Google Pay is a payment method that allows you to pay with your smartphone so you don’t have to carry your card with you all the time. It is available in all shops supporting contactless (NFC) payments as well as online shops. 

Adding your card to your wallet is more convenient, secure and faster when paying.

How to pay with Google Pay?

When paying in-store: hold your smartphone near the contactless terminal and your payment will automatically process. 

When paying online, select Google Pay as the payment option. We’ll ask you to confirm your payment via push message during checkout.

Google pay has some requirements that must be met in order to use it:

  • Google pay is only available for Android 9.0 or higher
  • Device must be NFC-capable
  • Requires a screen lock set up
  • HCE (Host Card Emulation) must be enabled
  • Requires a mobile data or WiFi connection to be used
  • The country where the card was shipped matches with the region of the phone

Why my card was removed from Google pay?

Due to additional security measure, your card can be remove if:

  • The device hasn't had network connectivity for a considerable period of time.
  • The security control used to access their device has been removed (e.g screen lock, passcode or biometric identifier)
  • N26 has revoked the Google Pay service for the card or removed the card eligibility

Note: 

  • You can use your wallet while you wait for your physical card. 
  •  If you don’t see the Add button in the N26 app, you can also link your card to your Google Pay Wallet directly through the Google Pay app.
